Regional Training Course on Basic Introduction to nuclear forensics.








The Minister for Energy and Renewable Energies, Dr Mourad ADJAL, presided over the official opening of the Regional Training Course on Basic Introduction to nuclear forensics, organised by the Nuclear Security Training and Support Centre (CSN) in coordination with the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA), from 17 to 21 May 2026.
The course’s opening ceremony took place in the presence of the Commissioner for Atomic Energy, the President of the National Nuclear Safety and Security Authority, officials and senior staff from the Ministry of Energy and Renewable Energies, members of the boards of directors of COMENA and the CSN, and officials and senior staff from nuclear research centres and organisations affiliated with COMENA.
The course, led by three (03) IAEA experts, brings together, in addition to local participants, eighteen (18) participants from eleven (11) African countries: Burundi, the Union of the Comoros, Côte d’Ivoire, the Democratic Republic of the Congo, Gabon, Madagascar, Mauritania, Senegal, Sudan, Togo and Tunisia.
